The Wissahickon Trail Classic could not exist without the support of its sponsors. Although the Trail Classic is entirely a volunteer effort, still there are expenses such as permits, insurance, the purchase and printing of t-shirts and running bibs and costs associated with the timing and publicity of the race.
The support of our sponsors helps us pay for these expenses. We also want to thank our sponsors for the spirit which they have brought to this event. Each year, rain or shine, they have come out as well to root the runners on. Our sponsors deserve our deepest thanks.
For 2017, we are proud to announce that
DNB First will be our main/presenting sponsor.
(they recently bought East River Bank and will continue their support for the Wissahickon Trail Classic)
“For over 150 years, DNB First has been helping individuals, families, and businesses, reach their financial goals. As the oldest national bank in the Philadelphia region, we’re committed to helping build businesses, dreams, and stronger communities for us all. With branches throughout Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties, you can count on us to be here to support you – today and tomorrow.”
We are not quite ready to announce the other sponsors for this year’s race.
Below are the generous sponsors from last year (2016).
Hopefully most will support this great event again this year!
Last Year’s (2016) Event Sponsors:
WTC Presented by East River Bank
“East River Bank offers a full range of financial services for both personal and business customers, including access to more than 55,000, surcharge-free ATMs through the Allpoint network and free online banking at EastRiverBank.com featuring Finance Works™ powered by Quicken.
The company was founded by Christopher P. McGill in 2005. As a native Philadelphian, third generation banker, Christopher serves as the Founding Director, President and CEO of East River Bank.
The company is headquartered in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia and operates branches in East Falls, Roxborough and Old City. East River Bank is a vital asset to the East Falls, Roxborough and Old City neighborhoods, as well as an important part of the small business and commercial real estate communities in the greater Philadelphia market.”
“We know Whole Foods Market has always been a little out of the ordinary. Those 19 people who started our first store were quite an idealistic bunch! We now number over 50,000 team members and are glad to report that our idealism and commitment to our core values are as strong as ever.
Yes, we are a publicly held company and have to make a profit to survive in the marketplace. But we’ve proven that a company can do good and do well if the doing comes from the heart. Luckily, our success helps us bring about change in the marketplace, which we hope will lead to good things for you and us and the planet.”
Chestnut Hill College is again providing needed overflow parking on their beautiful campus located less than a mile from our starting line. The campus of this renowned liberal arts college is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
